Perfect Bread - Super Soft White Farmhouse Loaf

Ingredients

1l b bread flour

4 teaspoons dry milk powder

1.5 teaspoon salt

2 teaspoons sugar

2 teaspoons baking yeast

250 ml (8.5 oz) luke-warm water

Directions

Add warm water and yeast into a measuring and give it a stir. Pop a very small pinch of sugar in with the mixture and stir briefly. Cover with a clean tea towel & wait 10 minutes, until frothy.

In a mixing bowl, add flour, milk powder, salt, and sugar. Mix on low just a bit, then slowly add yeast mixture. Continue mixing for 6-7 minutes, until elastic & dough-like.

Knead on floured surface for 30 seconds. Form into ball, then place into a greased bowl and cover with plastic wrap and rest for an hour.

Remove plastic wrap and gently press in the center to release gas.

Gently knead on floured surface for 30 seconds, into the shape of the loaf pan. Place in greased loaf pan & cover with towel for 40 minutes.

Preheat oven after 40 minutes, at 375°F.

Bake for 30-35 minutes.

Wait until cool to slice.
